The shoulder buttons are treated a bit funky in windows. In some games on windows, it will affect the mouse position on the screen and it will get stuck in the upper left. It appears that the drivers treat it as another joystick (left would be x axsis and right would be y axsis) until it is pressed down all the way. At that point it is a separate button code. The Dpad is also treated as a hat control with -1 to 1 on or off axis reading. This may cause some button assignment issues in some games that don't support it. Everything else works as expected.Bewared though. Because the gamecube shoulder buttons are unique in design among controls, they are almost useless in most games unless the controls are highly configurable. If you are looking for lots of buttons, the N64 controller may be a better choice. If one were able to use this controller for an snes games by some means through their computer they wouldn't be displeased assuming they set it up so that completely depressing the shoulder buttons functioned the same as the shoulder buttons on the snes. They may have problems using it for N64 games as the C-stick is not the same as C buttons. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful  Does the job, By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I have used it with Track and Field through Mame emulator and I'm pretty satisfied. |
